Maia McGehee was awarded a B.A. in Economics from San Diego State University, where she completed graduate work in Econometrics.

She served as an account executive with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in San Francisco, and on the trading staffs of two major California banks (First Interstate, Wells Fargo), before becoming the West Coast Regional Vice President for an East Coast SEC Registered Investment Advisor.

In 1993, Ms. McGehee founded Hermes Econometrics. Hermes Econometrics is a member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM). Ms. McGehee served on the Board of Directors of NAAIM for three years and co-chaired the Association's media committee. She is also a past Director on two non-profit boards of directors.

Maia also dedicated her time as treasurer for the 501(c)3 for Academic Excellence Committee for Terra Linda High School.

She held NASD Series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 (Investment Advisor Law) licenses, held by Mercury Securities, an NASD member firm founded by Ms. McGehee in 1996. Ms. McGehee was the Registered Principal for Mercury Securities.
